The jewels of Lalice arte orafa come to life from the hands of Alice Popescu, a goldsmith artisan who lives in Milan. With an architectural background, she approached the jewellery world starting with the design of a collection under commission. A new passion was born and this led her up to follow the goldsmithing courses at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana and, after completing, to start her own handmade production. Inspired by the vegetal and mineral shapes found in nature, Alice creates jewels in silver, gold, bronze, brass, copper and precious and semiprecious stones. She is interested in using traditional and ancient techniques, by shaping the metal with chasing and repoussé, reticulation and granulation, or wax carving and modelling. She looks at the same time for a modern simplicity of design and form. Fascinated by mysteries and wonders of life in nature, the purpose in her work is to capture inspiring moments, elements that become small wearable sculptures -  unique and symbolic objects that reconnect you with nature.
